When his father died while fighting illithids, the young Faran began to lead the lost caravan. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. The war was a terrible time for him, and Zûmug does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Zûmug was born with his mother's beautiful face. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. During his travels, Zûmug and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Zûmug discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Zûmug fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: Vapula was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was raised in a island tribe. Her father was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ellywick fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
