History: A child with a great deal of writing talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Matilda's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has gone from town to town till she finds a spot where she can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She invites people to come help in her community garden.
