History: Born in the north to a Laborer, Gilbert learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Gilbert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
