History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her parents enrolled her in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that she could practice her divine talents. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Blendaeth fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: Cressel was born with his father's beautiful face. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it; and many drow want him driven away

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Dabbledob isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. He invites people to come help in his community garden.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Carpenter. He now owns his own business.

History: Gifted from a young age, Rathkran studied abroad. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is obsessed with her god.

History: Sumnes was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

History: Beatrice lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

History: Salanop was born the youngest of three triplets. She found a children's book about a Gnome Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
