History: Cask hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Cask alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Prone to second guessing himself, he comes off as nervous. He is ready at a moment's notice to give into his darker urges. He is a real pyromaniac and does not care who the fire hurts. He often ends up burning people alive in the fires he starts.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

History: Ella was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, dire rats burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying east to reunite her family. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Spice Merchant and was forced into it by her family; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

History: Born to a Herbalist, his father struggled to pay the bills. Medrash abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature ceremonial dagger.
