History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
