Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting dire rats, the young Charles began to lead the lost caravan. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
