He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has worked as a Barkeep like his father before him.

Description: 3'1" and lanky with angular features, she is an attractive figure. She prefers to wear flannel. Her red hair is knotted and matted. Her blue eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Veloptima isn't afraid of most anything. She has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Gnomish unity. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: Veloptima was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She found a children's book about a Gnome Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this southern guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He got into the Adventurer business at a young age. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He tends to his Adventurer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and she is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. A gifted student she started as a Fortune-teller, but she got bored and became a Marshal. She struck the Marshal job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: To be a Fortune-teller again; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He is a font of random trivia from the lore and stories he has discovered

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Paelias was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Paelias's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is terrified, and will act out of fear

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation she is generally quite perceptive. She notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and she has money and likes to spend it

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and marry his brother to traveling adventurers

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother
