Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Nadarr hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He worked as a nervous Layabout and found it very stressful. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He got into the Miner business at a young age. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. History: The child of a Carpenter, who enjoyed hunting, Sariel was taken on many hunting expeditions. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Elves in the west were limited. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Cora was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the south; and his religion dominates his actions

Personality: She is a jovial happy person, but she is convinced people are living their lives too quickly. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.

History: Naivara lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way south. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to share knowledge with the world
