History: She comes from a rich northern family. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. At a young age his father died while driving off some giants. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in flail use. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner.
