History: Helja hails from a village terrorized by giants. In her 14th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Helja alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She saw the violence of war and the aftermath so she converted to religion and dedicated herself to non-violence.

She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
