Description: This woman is tall and muscular. She wears a robe, a symbol of the four houses of cards around her neck, and a shortbow on her belt. Her fur is red, silky, and of moderate length. Her amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.
Personality: She is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. She is an amazing painter.
History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. Brilliant and gifted she never wanted to apply herself. Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Shifting fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Gurdis was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Gnomish companion (her 'brother'). She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

Personality: While she is on the job, she is grim and serious. She understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.
History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. In her youth she was part of a gang. She got caught, but did not rat out her comrades and served her time in prison. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.
Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and a rival would like her out of the picture

Personality: She will rave to anyone who will listen. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.
History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Virra was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents were killed by illithids in a raid when she was still a young child. The illithids captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.
Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.

Description: This late middle aged woman is wearing dark clothing and a heavy breastplate, keeping many of her physical features obscured and is in decent physical shape. Her golden hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. She wears a mask on her face.
Personality: She is enamored with her job. She loves it. She likes the challenge and she likes helping those less fortunate than her. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.
History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. One night she noticed a nearby shooting star which she hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. She has done her darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Barrister arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She loves teas. She is very sensitive about her face. To blow off anger she lifts weights and to control her otherwise explosive temper she works out a lot.
History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the north. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Mary and her spouse have recently divorced.
Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and to fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever

She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. She came across an abandoned tomb where she found a relic that called out to her. After picking it up she was cursed by lycanthropy.
