History: Born in the east to a Knight, Richard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and balancing his hectic life and new knight responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: Keyleth lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
