History: Umpen lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. His white hair is matted, messy, and big. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. His home and work are filled with various knick knacks he has acquired through the years. He cares a great deal for his adopted teenage son.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and regain custody of his son

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. She is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Tree speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. He is clearly well-traveled and educated. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Scribe arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.
