Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.
History: Rolf lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.
Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Description: He is a mite stocky and wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His long red hair is drawn into a two foot long braid. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are yellowed and unaligned.
Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.
History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Cursed with unlife at a very young age, Roger has worked very hard to control his curse. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
Motivation: He is wracked by social anxiety; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Description: She wears skinny pants and wears a white and violet robe with the hood down, but does not cut a very imposing figure. She walks with a slouch but will stand straight to her full 2'9" when asserting herself. Her hair is black and curly. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.
Personality: She will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken her opponents. Despite her formidable combat skills she remains a coward. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.
History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Harriet fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.
Motivation: She doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes; and nothing but the best is good enough for her

Description: A man with a warm, jovial air about him, he typically wears green cloth garments or leather armor. He has done his best to style his rusty crest to look like a famous performer. He wears large thick round spectacles.
Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of giants once and for all.
History: Tarhun hails from a village terrorized by giants. In his youth he was a Seamstress, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He prefers to wear the grand gowns of high society. He carries his fan with him everywhere and carries himself as the perfect gentleman. He sports a flattop hair cut. His otherwise smooth face is marked with small tiny scars.
Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Laucian embodies much of what other species detest in the Elves. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.
History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Laucian alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it; and money/treasure

Description: A hulking man with gigantic muscles, he wears a grey collared shirt and brown pants. He accessorizes with a grey scarf around the waist and a strap diagonally across his shirt. His black hair is still thick. His eyes, though not visible through his cowl, are green.
Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.
History: Trym was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Knight they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Mercenary, and he later adopted a second son.
Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and revenge

History: Born in the north to a Detective, Nimble learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. A freak accident while working with her Cook father left her crippled. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Detective for hire.
Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He has all his life been fascinated with painting.
History: A child with a great deal of painting talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered painting. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.
History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the north. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. Being a Guard kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
Motivation: Seeks redemption; and several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge
