Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is fiercely devoted to his father, and views his father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.

He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Varis and his spouse have recently divorced.
