History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Verna fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Tiefling doctor. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Semyaza hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Guard. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 11 years.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: She is a Lycanthrope in disguise. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Herbalist responsibilities is difficult.
