His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She refers to her adoptive mother for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. By chance she met her sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Thoradin took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up hand crossbow and armor he uses now. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Lamlûg grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He's also a talented Barber, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. She haggles over everything, upselling her goods and buying cheap. She is persistent in everything.

History: Cloak hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Cloak was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To unite with her brother; and marry her brother to traveling adventurers

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: She was born into a rich family. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: She was raised in a plains tribe. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She now owns her own business.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.
