History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the east were limited. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Through the years after Malquis was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Malquis's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Skamos lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.
