He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Through the years after Mindartis was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Mindartis's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and obtaining odd cultural halfling artifacts is his passion

Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. After coming to the age of reason, Cockaby took it upon himself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Description: This younger middle-aged woman wears a tight fitting tan shirt and pants, and a wedding ring on her left hand. She has dyed her greying blonde hair a little too much giving a sharp blonde color. Her skin is flawless and her blue eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: A deeply religious woman she believes everything happens for a reason. She is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. Some 5 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Dalaba never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day.

History: He was born in the north. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a son. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Description: With black face paint in a stripe pattern across his face, he is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. He has no crest. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Brewer who has hired him part-time. The war was a terrible time for him, and Trynnicus does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trynnicus was raised in a hard working conservative environment. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Brewer. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Brewer for the past few years.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and wants his loneliness to end

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the north. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Sage hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Sage for hire.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and expand her business

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He disdains his fellow northerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Fisher. He's also a talented Layabout, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Description: She is of a modest build and height, but she carries herself more imposing than she is. Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and wishes to resurrect an old love
