History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Aelar grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Aelar. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
