History: River was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature lance.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wishes to resurrect an old love

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. The war was a terrible time for her, and Edge does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. She is accommodating to her spouse and as such limits her hospitality. She is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven herself a capable leader.

History: Gifted from a young age, Left-Handed studied abroad. She sought a place where she would be rewarded solely on the merits of her skills. This search led her directly into Cartwright work with an outfit from a few towns over. Cartwright work suited her well, and with each successful project, she earned more gold and more respect from her peers. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Left-Handed never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

History: He is a Hag in disguise. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
