History: From birth she was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many brigands want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and she desires to right it

Personality: He is fixated on the number 56. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Skirt was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Actor. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Description: This petite short man is perpetually holding a sweet of some kind. He wears a weathered and beat up set of banded mail beneath an oversized blue coat, marred by sweets. He sports a flattop hair cut. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Elegant was born with her father's beautiful face. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting brigands, the young Elegant began to lead the lost caravan. After a long history of fighting, Elegant and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, goblins burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the west, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying west to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. History: Hadwisa was born in the north. At a young age she loved to build and create. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
