Personality: She is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of her strength. She works very hard to maintain that gentleness. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.
History: Aline was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Meriele was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

He has relatively dark skin and is very physically imposing due to his abundance of muscles. His deerstalker hat is riddled with cuts and holes. His ears are large.
Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Portia has worked very hard to control her curse. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Portia never married again.
