History: The child of a Fortune-teller, who enjoyed hunting, Dagnal was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with writing. She constantly tries to fill her life with writing. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Born in the east to a Fortune-teller, Sariel learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Sariel was born on a far eastern desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Fortune-teller. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: He is overprotective of those who hire his services. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Born to a Dyer, his father struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: He got into the Tanner business at a young age. His childhood dream was to be a Carpenter, but he was a colossal failure. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Tanner for hire.
