History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Through the years after River was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. River's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him; and wants to work out more often
