Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Valida was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Brewer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor.
