She found her father impaled in their home, and her mother beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Through the years after Grigi was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Roywyn was born on a far southern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Beggar. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Koeth's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He enjoys reading and quiet.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Koeth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bowyer. He's also a talented Marshal, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Bulzo was born the youngest of three triplets. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He has since lost track of the people in his past.
