She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. History: Birel hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Birel fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When the war came and ruined her parents she was left adrift. She was a hard woman then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Priest. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
