To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Theren. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Description: A 3'0" southern woman, she typically wears white cloth garments or leather armor. Her brown hair is smooth and relatively long. Her half smiles and violet eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Jo was a troubled youth. She spent her days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent her evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Jo decided she wanted neither the life of her mother nor that of the evil petty criminals she associated with. During her early adolescence, she took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. As of late she has set up a hidden staging nest where she ambushes people she hires for escort.

History: Born to a Stableman, her mother struggled to pay the bills. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: She is a very philanthropic person; she spends her free time working at various soup kitchens. She is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with her old comrades. She has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She invented a lineage for herself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. There was a wharf not far from home where she often wandered off to fish. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: She desires power and/or immortality; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: Born in the north to a Courier, Eberdeb learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Courier. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Elven artifacts is her passion.
