History: Birel lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Birel grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Birel. Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Zed was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Carpenter. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
