History: Salasar hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Architect hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born into a rich family. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he is greedy

Description: A plain young-adult woman, she is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. Her auburn hair is knotted and matted. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: She is mildly Halfling supremacist, though she does not identify as such. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: Born in the north her family was never financially stable. In her 15th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Verna alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by brigands. Verna was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the brigands.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Spice Merchant and was forced into it by her family.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day she will do what she thinks is right.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She was granted martial powers by her dying brother.
