Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing writing.
History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He worked as a nervous Fortune-teller and found it very stressful. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

He cuts an attractive figure and his suit of old armor is well cared for even if it is obsolete. His brown hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. His eyes are a pleasant hazel.
Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-brother.
History: Varg hails from a village terrorized by orcs. At some point he was captured by orcs and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when brigands swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Quarion alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.
History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She now owns her own business.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is very protective of her business, her home, and her spouse. She is willing to work with less than legal methods but maintains the front of legitimacy.
History: She was born in the west. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
