History: He got into the Gardener business at a young age. His parents were killed by drow in a raid when he was still a young child. The drow captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Marbas and his spouse have recently divorced.
