Personality: Calm and collected, he is a well trained Stableman. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Ahinar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After months of barely getting by, Tharivol managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, he made his way to the capital under a new identity.
