History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Havilar grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she's looking for her big break

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gunnloda was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
