History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Varis grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Varis. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

History: Elysande was born the youngest of three triplets. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Sora took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up falchion and armor she uses now. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
