History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Barber hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. The war was a terrible time for him, and Zephan does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Zephan was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he loathes his own lifestyle

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the west were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out.

History: Hethress lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. The family's rival house kidnapped her sister with the intent that her sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.
