He worked as a Hunter, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was born in the east. Ostracized due to the arcane powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Elves became a terror of the countryside. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Alice. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Sark was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.
