History: Mreksh lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. Recently a tribe of drow attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
