History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He was granted druidic powers by his dying sister.

History: Ranala was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Since her mother passed away years ago, her father had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Ranala was horrified and prayed that her father was alright.
