History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Aelar was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Aelar's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Aelar and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Faran hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting gnolls, the young Faran began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
