History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Rimple grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Rimple. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: Gifted from a young age, Kali studied abroad. In her 10th year, her parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Kali alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has worked as a Body Guard like her mother before her.
