History: The child of a Armorer, who enjoyed hunting, Therlin was taken on many hunting expeditions. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Barrister. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Nordak grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His parents enrolled him in a Sorcerer school at a young age so that he could practice his divine talents. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Orthog lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Wants to raise his children well; and he is greedy

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Expand his business.
