History: She got into the Ruler business at a young age. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. She has worked as a Ruler like her father before her.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Heian was born with his mother's beautiful face. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Tailor. He has achieved small success as a Tailor.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Thodris grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Elven companion (her 'brother'). She has never given up on her poetry dream.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Lavinia embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. Lavinia enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

Personality: He is a man who does what he needs to. He will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: He is a Hag in disguise. Direcris was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Direcris decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
