History: Eloise was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She found a children's book about a Half-Elf Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. After a long history of fighting, Vistra and her spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: She considers herself the perfect lady. She makes a point to always show proper etiquette and frequently critiques the etiquette of others. She takes great joy in being the best Courier in town.

History: She comes from a rich eastern family. She worked as a nervous Courier and found it very stressful. She struck the Courier job and began her own company from there.

Motivation: She feels the way she acts is they only way to get by in the world.

History: Chay hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Farideh grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Farideh. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
