History: Hoshû was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Through the years after Hoshû was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Hoshû's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

History: Vepar was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has never given up on her writing dream.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and she doesn't get along with people that don't share her tastes
