Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Merla embodies much of what other species detest in the Halflings. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the east. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and she is compelled to act according to her religious beliefs

Personality: Overbrimming with self-confidence, Ar-Beka isn't afraid of most anything. He has a strong dislike to people who do not believe in Half-Orc unity. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Adventurer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: He was born in a small island village. He found a children's book about a Halfling Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature hand crossbow.

Motivation: A deep hatred of brigands; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

This blue eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Halander grew up listening to his father's many stories. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a butcher and was forced into it by his family

Personality: She trusts no one. She is not readily capable for forgiveness and her ire never leaves her. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Lidda was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She feels threatened by others.

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered poetry. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She loves being with her children and actually smiles when they are around. She would do anything for them. She dislikes her ex a great deal.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She worked as a nervous Courier and found it very stressful. She now spends her time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Courier responsibilities is difficult.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She is kind towards other women and children and will generally offer women help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to her.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for her; and retire the richest woman in the east

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Masseuse. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 15 years.
