History: She comes from a rich western family. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Hethress was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever she goes.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She took after her father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, her father taught her to defend herself. When her father died while fighting giants, the young Shava began to lead the lost caravan. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
