He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. She found a children's book about a Human Sorcerer who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She has drifted apart from her friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature scythe.
